Artist's Statement

With my works I study gender, sexuality and differences between sets of values in and trough art. I want to question constructions of heteronormative society and traditional gender roles and definitions.

I'm interested in interaction between art and society and political nature of art. Feministic, queer, lesbian and gay art, aesthetichs of bad taste, relation between public and private and the role of the spectator are other interesting issues.

Inner tension of my works is produced by combinating spaces, materials and techniques that have been considered for example either masculine or feminine. I want to emphasize the conceptualism of my works by rich symbolism and titles.

I want my works to touch different social groups and individuals. It's not in my intention to give ready underlined answers, but challenge spectator trough my works to think and understand different points of view.
